A new study has found that Medicare for All would save over 100,000 lives in the U.S. per year while also reducing Americans’ health care spending by more than $1 trillion annually. Yale University and University of Maryland researchers have estimated that the universal single payer health care system introduced in the Medicare for All Act would prevent 114,000 deaths per year.

Seasonal work. Inconsistent hours. Frequent moves. Cash payments and informal jobs. For farmworkers who rely on Medicaid, these common employment patterns could put their health coverage at risk. It’s a heightened concern for the estimated million-plus farmworkers who are U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents, as new work requirements kick in for the federal-state healthcare program that…

Last week, at a private Easter lunch, Donald Trump was caught on a hot mic saying that with the country at war, the federal government should offload Medicaid, Medicare, and child care expenditures onto the states. “We have 50 states. We have all these other people. We’re fighting wars,” the MAGA leader said. “It’s not possible for us to take care of day care, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things.”…

The Trump administration is seeking a whopping $200 billion supplement for the U.S. and Israel’s war on Iran, asking for Congress to shell out taxpayer money for a historically unpopular war that is already causing major price hikes that will only worsen as the war goes on. The Washington Post first reported the request to Congress, citing a senior administration official and three other…
